A manufacturer-service comparison found that some service programs reported repair durations of 7–14 days or longer for a substantial share of repairs.
How the Loaner Machine Program Works
A simple way to stay productive while your equipment is being serviced.
Request a Loaner
A suitable laptop or desktop can be provided at the customer's request, subject to availability and program requirements.
Use It Like Your Own
The loaner is available for your use for the duration of your repair. Use it for your normal work, school, and personal computing needs.
Return & Restocking
Once your equipment is ready, the loaner is retrieved and returned to its original configuration. The machine is imaged back to the condition it was in when it was issued.
Choose Your Storage Option
Customers who prefer to keep the loaner's storage or boot medium may do so by purchasing a replacement at its fair market value at the time of retrieval.
Return the Storage Medium
If you do not wish to purchase the storage medium, simply return it with the loaner and pay the applicable restocking fee.
Security-Conscious Customers
Keeping the loaner's storage medium can provide an additional option for customers who do not want their personal information or other data potentially leaving with the loaner when it is retrieved.
